Toddler Activities: Apple Printables

Does fall start on September 1st or on the actual autumnal equinox for you? I was still in summer mode, but a recent storm dropped the temperatures around here and I’m starting to get all of the fall feels! Between that and starting homeschool preschool with Elani (video at the end of this post) I decided to design a few apple-themed printables. These are the latest printables that you can find for free on my site.

Apple Clip Cards

Why not work on number recognition, counting and those fine motor skills at the same time?! Gripping and opening these clothespins is still a challenge for Elani so activities like this are great practice. Have your little one count the apples and then clip the clothespin onto the correct number. I prefer to laminate the clip cards so that they last.

Letter Find

This activity can be used with dot markers, translucent buttons, or anything else that you have for your child to cover the letters. I had Elani cover the “a” at the bottom first and then search for it within the apple, then the “p” at the bottom, and so on.

Apples in a Basket

This activity can be used for color sorting without laminating or using a sheet protector. If you choose to laminate or use a sheet protector, you can write a number (1-5) in the colored circle. Then, your child can put the correct number of apples in the basket. I like to use dry erase pockets for this activity.

So, what inspired all of these apple-themed activities? I have started homeschool preschool with Elani and the first unit is all about apples. I will not be creating printables for each unit, but I definitely will be releasing more as the school year continues!

Make sure that you are subscribed to my blog to access all of these educational printables and more. I hope that you and your family enjoy these fun printables as much as we have!
