Homeschool Daddy-Daughter Dance
My husband and daughter recently attended a daddy-daughter dance for local homeschool families and they had such a great time! I am so happy that I belong to multiple Facebook groups for local homeschool information because it would have been such a shame to miss this. I strictly use Facebook for homeschool purposes so if you are like me and do not generally use it, I recommend at least using it for homeschool information. I’ve found great opportunities for Elani through doing so.

This was the first annual homeschool daddy-daughter dance and was a huge success. They rented a room in a local hotel and it was packed! I’m sure that they will need a larger space next year once word spreads. They hired a DJ, offered snacks and desserts, provided glow necklaces, and had a dedicated photo spot. This was a paid event and the age range was 3-12, but children under 3 were welcomed for free.
The event was late at night (7:00 pm is late for Elani) so she did tire out fairly easily and she also found it to be too loud at times. If they do it again next year, I may send her with ear protection. Overall, it was a great time, and many amazing memories were made. I took Elani shopping for a new dress and shoes and she was ecstatic to get that one-on-one time with her father. We have noticed that her behavior can be less than ideal when she does not get that time to herself or time without Emi. This dance brought Elani and Evan so much joy and I highly recommend finding or creating one in your own homeschool community.
