Part of the fun of planning a Disney trip is finding and choosing pieces to put together the perfect outfits. You want them to look nice, but a day at Disney is a loooong day so comfort is also very important. We traveled to Disney World in January so I made sure to play with layers when I planned Elani outfits.

I used my Cricut to create shirts for our travel day down to Orlando. It was nice to have something special to wear while traveling because it just added to the fun and excitement of the trip.
I paired Elani’s shirt with a pair of leggings that I found at Primark (one of my favorite places for inexpensive Disney clothes) and a pair of Converse sneakers. I bought a jean jacket specifically for this trip that she wore with multiple outfits. I love that it was not real denim so there was no stiffness. It was very soft and super cozy. I made her hair bow with the same fabric that I used to make my mom and my Minnie ears.
Target is another great source for inexpensive Disney clothes. I purchased Elani’s dress (which one on clearance the last time I checked) from Target and just paired it with jeggings since it was unseasonably cool during our trip. I also brought along an adorable Minnie Mouse purse. My grandmother actually gifted it to Elani after I showed her a picture of it and my mom bought the same one in a different color. It comes in a few different colors.
Once again, I made her bows (super easy) to match my Minnie ears. She wore the same shoes that she traveled in. These shoes were perfect for her since they were comfortable and they tied. I like that they tied because I was able to make sure they were on nice and snug, avoiding her tossing them off of a ride or out of the stroller.
The next day of our vacation was the Topolino Terrace Character Breakfast at Disney’s Riviera Resort and a two hour drive to the beach. Again, comfort was key. I purchased Elani’s shirt and shorts from Target and paired them with the same Converse sneakers. I love her little Disney zip up that she wore, but I bought it at a consignment shop and do not know where it was originally purchased.
Again, she had her Minnie purse, but the pink version this time. She also wore a linen bow headband that came in a set of 10. They are good quality and super affordable!
We headed to the beach after that so I didn’t have any more Disney outfits that I needed to plan, but I was very happy with the ones that I did put together. My advice is to make sure your child is comfortable (princess dresses at the park are not for everyone) and to dress in layers. Otherwise, bring extra clothes along if you are planning a long day at the parks since the temperatures can be much cooler in the mornings and at night.
There are so many places that sell Disney clothes, but my other suggestion is consignment shopping. I have had great luck with that and will be posting about my next big consignment haul (postponed due to COVID-19). Excited to plan for our next Disney trip!
